Tzvi’s family moved to Budapest when he was thirteen and at the age of fifteen he joined the movement. He learned dental technology. After the Germans invaded Hungary on 19.3.1944, he was enlisted in a forced labor unit. Following the rise to power of the Arrow Cross Party in Hungary on 15.10.1944, Tzvi escaped from the forced labor camp and, together with Yeshayahu Rosenblum, took part in the establishment of a children’s house on Budakeszi Street and provided it with food. Tzvi made aliya and worked as a bookkeeper.
